Two-color light-emitting diodes (LEDs) can emit two different colors of light, usually red and green, rather than just one color. It is packaged in 3mm epoxy resin. It has 3 pins, common cathode or common anode can be used. The bi-color LED has two LED terminals or pins, which are arranged in an anti-parallel manner in the circuit and connected by the cathode/anode. A positive voltage can be directed to one of the LED terminals to make the terminal emit light of the corresponding color; when the direction of the voltage is reversed, light of another color is emitted. In a two-color LED, only one pin can receive voltage at a time. Therefore, this type of LED is often used as an indicator light for various devices, including televisions, digital cameras, and remote controls.
