Infrared obstacle avoidance sensor is a distance adjustable obstacle avoidance sensor designed for wheeled robots. This sensor has strong adaptability to ambient light and high precision. It has a pair of infrared emitting and receiving tubes. The emitting tube emits a certain frequency of infrared rays. When the detection direction encounters an obstacle (reflecting surface), the infrared rays are reflected back by the receiving tube When receiving, the indicator light is on. After the circuit is processed, the signal output interface outputs a digital signal. The detection distance can be adjusted by the potentiometer knob. The effective distance is 2~40cm, and the working voltage is 3.3V-5V. Due to the wide working voltage range, It can still work stably even when the power supply voltage fluctuates greatly. It is suitable for a variety of single-chip microcomputers, Arduino controllers, and BS2 controllers. It can be installed on the robot to sense changes in the surrounding environment.

1. Output 0 when the object is sensed, and output 1 when it is not sensed. It can be directly connected to the IO port of 3V and 5V single-chip microcomputers.
2. The sensing distance is 2 to 30 cm, the distance is long, and the anti-interference ability is good. (Note: The infrared sensor does not detect all objects at the same distance. Objects of different colors have different reflectivity to light. The darker the object is, the closer it is to black, the shorter the detection distance is. This sensor is 2 to 40 cm. (Measured against the white wall)
3. Fast speed, suitable for smart car obstacle avoidance, black and white line tracking, anti-dropping, product counter, assembly line cutting, liquid level detection, etc.
4. The black and white line tracing trolley made with this sensor does not need to run on the white paper and black line, and can patrol the black line in the complex environment such as cement floor and yellow mud floor. As long as the color around the black line is slightly lighter than black, the traditional way of walking is eliminated and the environment layout is simpler.
5. This sensor has a 3 to 6V power supply, with an ultra-wide range, suitable for 3V and 5V single-chip systems.
6. With enable terminal, the sensor does not work when EN terminal is equal to "1", and works when it is equal to "0". After the jumper cap on the sensor is plugged in, the EN terminal is grounded for a long time (EN is "0" for a long time). Please take off the jumper when you want to use the EN terminal.
7. The frequency adjustment potentiometer is used to adjust the carrier frequency of the infrared transmitting tube, because the integrated receiving head is the most sensitive when it is at a specific 38KHZ carrier frequency. Adjust the 502 resistor clockwise to the end (that is, adjust the brightness of the transmitter tube to the maximum), then adjust the 103 resistor to the white wall until the sensing distance is the farthest, so that the sensor is working in a good state.
